The eyes and mind must also be aligned. If the eyes call one way while the mind rests elsewhere, the person is inwardly divided.
The practical movement here is transparency. Speech, heart, sight, and thought must become one before Kudalasangama Deva.
Editorial Commentary
This vachana should be read as a warning against pleasing speech without inner truth. Basavanna does not reject sweetness in speech. He rejects sweetness used to hide poison.
