Summary
Basavanna describes the ripening of the inner faculties: the heart opens, the mind becomes clear, and the tongue delights in the Divine Name.
He does not claim the Name as his possession. He asks Kudalasangama Deva to pour its nectar into him.
The flower-like heart then falls at the Lord’s sacred feet and becomes dust there. Spiritual maturity is not retained as personal attainment but offered back to Kudalasangama Deva.
Imagery & Symbolic Relevance
The opening heart indicates inward ripening and readiness to receive.
The cleared mind shows the subsiding of disturbance and divided movement.
The joyful tongue presents speech transformed through the Divine Name.
The nectar of the Name is poured by Kudalasangama Deva. Basavanna receives it rather than claiming ownership over it.
The flower-like heart gives the image of fullness and opening.
Its fall at the sacred feet completes the surrender. What has ripened does not preserve itself as an achievement.
Becoming dust at the feet signifies humility and the ending of separate self-claim.
Lingayoga
In Lingayoga, heart, mind, and speech become aligned through remembrance of Linga.
Their ripening is received as Prasada rather than possessed by the Anga. The Name remains a gift from Kudalasangama Deva.
The practice-point is to let the heart open, the mind clear, and speech remain in the Name, and then to surrender even that maturity without ownership.
Editorial Commentary
The image of becoming dust at the sacred feet should not be read as self-hatred or humiliation. The heart first blooms and reaches fullness; only then does it fall. The surrender is therefore the offering of ripened being, not the rejection of an unworthy self.

In Vachana 1100, the head merges with those feet, bodily deceit and mental distortion melt away, and inner darkness disappears before their radiance.
The offered heart of Vachana 486 therefore advances into fuller dissolution of separation at the sacred feet.
