Summary

Editorial Commentary
The Kannada is compact and should remain so. “They know how to lose” should not be read as weakness; it shows freedom from victory-seeking. Upachāra should not be made into true service here. The vachana contrasts the Sharanas’ directness with deception and calculated form.
