Summary
Basavanna asks how one who has received Prana-Linga can walk, speak, enjoy the five senses, or perform even the smallest act apart from the Linga.
The teaching is direct: after Prana-Linga has been received, ordinary life cannot remain Linga-virahita. Movement, speech, sense-experience, and bodily action must stay joined to Kudalasangama Deva.
Basavanna does not reject the body or senses. He rejects separation from the Linga.
Imagery & Symbolic Relevance
Receiving Prana-Linga is the central image. It brings the Linga into the field of life, breath, movement, and conduct.
Walking represents daily action. Speech represents expression. The five senses represent ordinary experience. Even the smallest bodily act is included.
The repeated concern is Linga-virahita, separation from the Linga. Nothing in embodied life is too ordinary to fall outside Linga-awareness.
Lingayoga
In Lingayoga, this vachana teaches continuous Linga-awareness. Worship is not separate from walking, speaking, sensing, or acting.
For Pranalingi Sthala, Prana-Linga must be assimilated into conduct. Breath, movement, speech, and sensory life are not personal possessions; they must remain joined to the Linga.
The practice-point is simple: do not live as Linga-virahita after receiving Prana-Linga.
Editorial Commentary
The senses are not treated as enemies here. The error is experiencing them apart from Linga.
The vachana should remain practical and direct. It refuses separation after Prana-Linga has entered the seeker’s life.

Prasadi Sthala Vachana 728 — Breath of Being
Prasadi Vachana 728 supports this teaching by placing the whole person in sacred relation: mind to Linga, wealth to Jangama, body to Prasada, and speech to Linga-Jangama-Prasada.
Vachana 797 carries this into Pranalingi Sthala. After receiving Prana-Linga, walking, speaking, sensing, and bodily action cannot remain separate from the Linga.

Sharana Sthala Vachana 808 — The Measure of True Dasoha
Sharana Vachana 808 advances this teaching by carrying body, life, inner being, and speech into the way of Prana-Linga known among the Sharanas.
In Vachana 797, no act should stand apart from Prana-Linga. In Vachana 808, this becomes Sharana Sthala as integrated Dasoha, where life and conduct move through Prana-Linga before Kudalasangama Deva.
