Summary
In this vachana, Basavanna prays to Kudalasangama Deva to make him victorious through testing.
If the servant fails, the master’s honor is harmed. Therefore Basavanna does not ask to avoid the struggle; he asks to be strengthened and made fit.
The measure of victory is freedom from deceit in body, mind, and wealth. Devotion must become whole in action, intention, and offering.
Imagery & Symbolic Relevance
The servant and master image gives the vachana its first force. A servant does not stand alone; his conduct reflects upon the one he serves.
If the servant is broken, the master’s honor is affected. Basavanna therefore prays to be made strong enough not to bring dishonor to Kudalasangama Deva.
The repeated plea, “make me win,” suggests trial, discipline, and formation. The seeker must be tested until hidden weakness is removed.
Body, mind, and wealth form the complete field of life. The body acts, the mind intends, and wealth extends one’s relation to the world.
Deceit in any one of these divides devotion. The body may serve while the mind hides; wealth may be given while intention remains impure.
Basavanna asks that no such split remain. His prayer is for a life in which action, thought, and possession stand transparently before Kudalasangama Deva.
Lingayoga
In Lingayoga, the Anga must become truthful in all its fields.
The body must not perform worship while the mind conceals another movement. The mind must not speak surrender while wealth remains under self-protection.
The prayer to be made victorious is a prayer for integration. Practice must overcome the divisions between action, thought, and offering.
Lingayoga matures when body, mind, and wealth become aligned in service before Kudalasangama Deva.

Basavanna asks not for appearance of devotion, but for a life without deceit in the whole field of practice.
